WHAT IS CROSSFIT PROFORM ABOUT?
CrossFit ProForm is many things.
In September of 2012, we opened our doors as CrossFit ProForm and since then we have operated with the CrossFit methodology as our strong base.
That being said, our programming has always been very individualistic.
Functional Fitness is what we believe to be the most effective and holistic method of training. These are the core movements of life, found everywhere, and built naturally into our DNA.
We like to use these movements as our foundation and then add to them with a distinct focus on Endurance and VO2 Max training, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Strength, Aerobic and Anaerobic training.
In a nutshell, we like to mix it up! The body easily becomes complacent when it comes to training and our job is to make sure we keep your body guessing! That way it never becomes complacent and YOU will continue to see progress in your strength, fitness and overall health.
CrossFit ProForm is also all about the community that spontaneously arises when people do these workouts together. In fact, the communal aspect of ProForm is a key component of why our training is so effective. We may train as individuals...but here, we workout as a community.
The magic is in the movements and the joy is in the community!
By employing a constantly-varied approach to training, these functional movements (at maximum intensity) can lead to dramatic gains in fitness. We make sure that no workout is ever the same.
Intensity is essential for results and is measurable. The more work you do in less time, the more intense the effort.
Using blackboards as scoreboards, keeping accurate scores and records, running a clock, and precisely defining the rules and standards for performance, we not only motivate unprecedented output, but derive both relative and absolute metrics at every workout.
While still challenging the fittest, the our programming is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual, regardless of experience.
The same routines are used for elderly individuals with heart disease as for professional athletes.
Every workout can be scaled back in movement or intensity to suit YOUR personal fitness level and capabilities. That's what our coaches are there for....talk to them and they'll help you tailor the workout to suit your personal abilities!
